1. there were no other connect besides the Dominicans

2. That's my point. Avons only drug connect in NY was the Dominicans, who cut him off at the end of season 1. Yet some y'all think Brother was something other than muscle. Like I keep saying if Brother had ANY connections to drugs, why didn't Avon go thru him.

Brother was threatening to cut off the connection to New York. The reason that was important to Avon was because that was a part of HIS drug supply. It wasnt about muscle, since at that precise moment he had an entire goddamn army waiting for him.

Youre severely underestimating how this played out on the show. Avon was locked up in season 2 otherwise he would have straightened it out himself. (Which he did the moment he came home.) He was never with Stringer's plans as shown quite literally for the entirety of season 3. And thus he was never going to allow himself to remain in a subservient position to Prop joe of all people.

That sure is a lot of coke being found for an organization that doesnt sell it.

Because Avon was in prison and relying on Stringer. And Stringer didnt have the juice to fix things. That's why he didn't do it in Season 2.

He could have probably worked it out from inside but Stringer was too busy running his own plays.

because in season 2, the NY connect got hemmed up soon after Avon got locked up. and since Avon "only" got 7 years they distanced themselves from the Barksdale organization to make sure they wasn't snitching. that's when Avon set Stringer up with an emergency connect in Atlanta
