OPINION What Are Your Top 3 Underrated Movies?

The third film I'll add to The Blackening and Midnight Son is

Happiness (1998)

Some may consider it under the radar more than underrated, but its a classic for me, and better than its IMDb rating (7.7). A dark comedy that dives into the awkward slice of life of middle class white people. Another film you would see on IFC way back. That was probably my favorite channel when I was 11 years old 🤣 smh.

I still contend that was movie of the year when it came out at least for me. So that’s one.

IMO the best “found footage” movie and unique that they put a person with super powers” spin on it.
 
The harder they fallv was pretty good. It deserves a run back

Without remorse was pretty good too.

Chronicle so tuff. Shame they didn't make it sequels but good they didn't at the same time.

A lotta movies have good ideas then fall apart in the execution.

Jumpers was another one. That shit could have been a franchise.

And with the right production story writing team, The Purge could have been amazing. It even could have been an episodic show where each episode a be knew random cast has to deal with it in different ways.

I always thought a great purge would be in a church. Cuz churches prolly do lock ins during a purge, and pray and worship the whole time. But imagine someone reviewing the books, seeing that the pastor is stealing and confronts them in front of the entire congregation during a purge lock in.

That should would be wild. And that's just one episode. Bring in different writers and do a few seasons of that

Chronicle is a flick I've been wanting to see, but these streaming services got me fucked up on it. It's on Netflix, but only in other countries and Prime Video got it, but you gotta pay.

If I ever see this shit on DVD at Goodwill, I'mma cop.

Jumper was supposed to be a trilogy from the get go. It didn't hit the numbers it needed and the critics weren't all that enthusiastic about it.

I fucks with it tho. I got it on DVD.
