I lost all faith on Silver this year. Imo he needs to go. But his explanation of this sounds like it would pass in a court of law imo.

From what he said, the NBA can only legally do so much. Supposedly as soon as the night in question happened, the sports books let the NBA know.

Then the NBA investigated and Rozier participated and gave his phone and email etc.

And it's not that the NBA cleared him of the cheating, it's just that they couldnt prove it with their level of investigation since they don't have subpoena power.

The Feds can do way more with wire tapping and getting mfers to snitch, so they found proof of Rozier cheating.

So NBA is covered cause they did an investigation, and they didn't say Rozier was innocent but only said the investigation was over and it was inconclusive.

I do need Pablo to go after Silver though.

We need a new commissioner

Based on what you said, I would think the only thing that can hurt silver is if fatboy windhorst was right and the league did stealthily suspend him because idk if Miami makes that trade 6 months later if they knew he gambled on himself

But again I don’t really believe windy I think the hornets just wanted to tank

I don’t care about the compensation thing nearly as much as other Heat fans do but at the same time I’m not trying to be made a fool of as the only team hurt by all of this

This why Silver survives, he did all he could do giving his investigation can only go so far.

I don't think this is right.

He did the bare minimum to make sure the league is covered legally and then tried to brush this shit under a rug cause he didn't want a betting scandal.

Think about it. Rozier does this and it gets flagged and the league investigates. They can't prove he did it, but also can't prove he didn't do it.

Do they change their policies and do this exercise of investingating how injuries and shit gets reported? Nope. They only do it now when shit hit the fan.

This is after MPJs brother got locked up for this too.

Also did the league notify the feds? Cause that's a big part of this.

If I have a player that the sportsbooks flagged as cheating and then I couldn't prove he didn't cheat cause I don't have subpoena powers and shit, I would get the feds involved if I cared about the actual integrity of the game.

But Silver let a mfer go back to play like nothing happened after the league couldn't prove he didn't cheat.

Wild stuff.
