Yeahhh if you saying this you not following the Rozier part hard enough

But I said I would humor you..

If the hornets and NBA knew about the Rozier gambling thing in 2023 and then didn’t say anything that’s bad

Then if the the league did shadow suspend Rozier like windy suggested (idk how much I believe it) that’s bad

Silver and the league office had to have known about the FBI stuff that could eventually come and still let Miami trade for Rozier under false pretenses

Also now instead of Rozier’s contract being waived they are most likely going to wait until the feds are done which is going to take months and by then it doesn’t help Miami at all since his contract comes off the books

Miami traded highsmith and a 2nd to get under the tax (which wouldn’t be a thing if Rozier was taken care of)

Miami didn’t sign precious due to the tax

Now due to the fed investigation, Rozier is just away from the team and still getting paid while being one less player for Miami to have on the squad to play

The Heat are literally the only party outside of Rozier hurting from this

Also Rozier is expiring, his contract coming off the books does nothing
 
Heat fans want their pick back, but me just give me a “my bad” and $4 mil to play with and I’ll be good with it
 
Idk if it can be proven how much the league knew so idk how much the heat can get compensated.

According to Silver, the NBA did a investigation to the best that they could, without subpoena power and other things, and couldn't prove Rozier was guilty no matter how much it looked like it was.

Rozier supposedly cooperated and turned over his phone etc, and the NBA went as far as they legally could and couldn't prove him guilty.

If this stands and can be proven, then the Heat can't get compensated, even though I think they should.

The Heat can fight it and say the league had a responsibility to disclose all that that was going on. And maybe they did.

Do I think the NBA was trying to sweep it under the rug? Yes. But does the NBA's explanation pass the logic check? Also yes. So idk what the heat can do.

nah gave up a 2027 pick, a 2nd rounder, Haywood highsmith, didn’t sign a big due to the tax,Rozier isn’t avail to play this year, still getting paid

It’s too much being spent

So if they knew about any of this prior…

It’s okay once we get silver at congress in a few days we gonna fuck him up

There’s no way the league can admit that they knew Rozier was gambling on himself and then didn’t punish him openly about it or at all

So they gonna have to feign ignorance but if Pablo finds out????
