Man these Android devices can handle n64 and so much more. It’s a beautiful time to be into emulation. An OG xbox emulator just dropped. All games aren’t working flawlessly yet but the future is mad promising…which loops me back to what I was telling @AP4.0. You might wanna look into the Odin 3 because as shit advances in the next couple weeks/months, things like ps3 and Xbox 360 emulation are going to demand better gpu and memory specs that the Thor definitely won’t have.

But speaking of the n64…over the last couple days, I been super fuckin with these wrestling game rom hacks. Somebody made a mod from No Mercy with ECW wrestlers called “Born to be Wired”. Nigga. This shit is fuckin fire. They added moves and got barbwire matches and some more shit.



This shit took me down a rabbit hole. There’s all types of rom hacks out there. I also found one called “The Violent Arts” which is a rom hack of Virtual Pro Wrestling 2, which is the same aki engine as revenge/no mercy. This shit has AEW, WWE & New Japan wrestlers on the roster.

It’s appealing if you super fuck with DS/3DS games or want to multi task while playing but if not, consider the battery drain from having a screen you don’t use a lot of the time or end up turning off.

If I wasn’t a super fan of the DS/3DS, idda got something else. That’s just being honest

The Odin might be what I want. In the review I saw him playing Mario Galaxy I think??

I've been trying to play switch games forever without paying those prices

And you can still play dual screen games without 2 screens..

You definitely won’t miss out on the DS/3DS catalog.

Odin 3 will definitely play switch games. My Thor plays em just fine for the most part. Some games don’t work 100% but that’s just due to the nature of Switch emulation, which is getting better every week. It all boils down to the drivers and driver support.

brah...this is a gamechanger

my daughter is trying to get into retro games but the nintendo shop is just highway robbery. I got gifted one of those 4k Retro gaming sticks for christmas and some games are just better as a handheld. This is one of the reasons I havent gotten into the older pokemon joints but if it is possible for me to get into the switch versions, that will be dope af (but it's not a dealbreaker if i couldnt)

I have been dying to play the old N64 WCW games but i cant find roms that work on my pc but i could very well just be looking in the wrong places, but this will definitely be a gift to myself and if my daughter keeps up her good behavior, i could see me buying one for her to have also. Her regular switch is just collecting dust (there are a myriad of reasons also but she hasn't played the one at my house in months. I think she still plays the one at her moms)

real quick. I played royal rumble for SNES a couple weekends ago and restored the feeling a lil bit but it wasnt the same cause the controller layout isnt like the Super NES and I wasnt use to using the analog to control those games. I didnt realize as a teen how shallow those games were in terms of modes lol. I just kept doing the razors edge to everyone when they got weak lol

Here’s the thing: with an emulator device, you can trade Pokemon locally with another person using an emulator device if you’re playing just about any of the games starting from gameboy thru the switch generation.

What you can’t do is trade from an emulator device playing a switch game to another person playing an official switch version using a switch.

You also can’t take advantage of Pokemon bank to move Pokemon from older generations to Pokemon Home…or even use Pokemon Home for real.

Idk if I care about any of this seeing as I've never actually played a Pokemon game before but have always been drawn to it over the years as I've gotten older

In the event I get my daughter one, she will definitely be my trade partner as she is really into Pokemon so maybe this could be something we bond over🤔
