2021/22 NBA Season Thread

If he opts in. If not he can walk, trade Tobias, bring in Beal, possibly get 2 athletic 3 and D wings, hopefully revamp the bench in the offseason, etc.
That's ideal. I rather have a younger more well rounded team. This ain't our year. The team is not ready yet. That bench is gonna be our downfall.

It's never our year and we'll never be ready then. Joel will ask for a trade somewhere else by the time we are ready. Joel Embiid will be ANOTHER talent wasted in Philly because we not ready.

Beal thinking about being all time franchise leader in points, 3’s, games played, etc. & being paid.

Kinda smart for a legacy in a selfish sense. Being a tag-a-long guy in a big 3 can be fleeting.

No real incentive to sign the extension. He's gonna get a full max deal from someone regardless. All signing the extension would do so make life easier on philly.

if he signed the extension wouldn’t it have given the sixers his Bird rights and he could’ve gotten an extra year on the contract?

I can’t remember to be honest but I thought it was also an incentive for him to sign the extension as well as the team?

you’re right though. He getting paid a ton of money regardless what he does in the off season. So it’s a win for his (the strippers in whatever city he ends up at, and lil baby”pause”) bank account. Lol

Lmao he gone next summer. Bet. He doesn't give af about no legacy. The dollars just make sense.

I have to get this disclaimer out first because it’s too many folks on here who take stuff too serious/personally. Lol.

I’m not trying to make jokes at any fan base expense with this question……. It’s just a question

Does anyone find it kinda peculiar that James Harden didn’t sign the extension in enough time once he was traded? Also, what are the odds James leaves via free agency if things don’t go well in the playoffs and he doesn’t play well? I don’t know if James is built to take the criticism he will face from Philly fans if he doesn’t play well ln the playoffs
Philly fans are definitely intense but with Morey in Philly i think he stays. He's so unpredictable and moody i think he could leave philly

If Harden left Philly who else could afford and put up with him leaving another team that quickly right before the playoffs?
