Let me not even click on this. Same reason why I avoid 90% of the discourse when it comes to that movie. Not just dumb/obvious takes but also the soapbox post niggas love to get on when anything black take over the American zeitgeist

Eh, every black person ain't gotta like the movie but black acting getting overly critiqued is something I see on here too.
Like muhfuckas just believe negros can't act and these cacs are just better at it.
As far as joe segueing to that question... dwl
Definitely seemed like a set up like damn aren't these muhfuckas friends??!?
Ish had some points but nah black people still need to get what is owed
Was a good movie to meI haven't seen it yet. I'm gonna support though. I don't fuck with most black movies, but it's mostly because most of them are in genres I don't care for. This one is more up my alley.
Someone showed me a social media post yesterday. This older black woman was talking about a conversation she had with a young black man. The gist of it was that he grew up in a ghetto family. He always associate family and women with chaos because that's all he every experienced growing up. He left the hood to go a PWI, and there he met a white chick. They started dating casually, but his interest in her grew when he met her family. He said their family was so loving and supportive and all their events were peaceful, which was the exact opposite of his family's. He basically said that he now goes to be around her family when he wants to escape from being around his own. Anyway, the woman concluded from that story that black men like white women because they bring peace.
I think she missed the point. It's not actually a black woman problem. It's a black family problem. In some parts of our community, the family dynamic is so messed up, it basically traumatized the young people that come out of it. In the kid's case, he's kinda imprinted on the white family. He might even be thinking that white families are better than black families now. I think that's only because he ran into a white chick with a good family dynamic first. If he had run into a black chick with a good family that brought him peace, the race part would have never come up for him.
Anyway, shit is often deeper than black dudes just wanting to be with white chicks because they're better.
For me, it's seeing everything that was fucked up about my family life then trying to find a way to avoid that in my family with my black wifeSomeone showed me a social media post yesterday.
