Why Americans Die So Much

I saw something years ago that said Americans are in the bottom for sleep. As in we get the least sleep as a nation...or very close to the bottom. No matter what you eat or put in your body, if you aint getting bare minimum 6 hrs of sleep a night, your life expectancy is going down.

We got tricked into believing that there's not enough to go around and it made us think we have to fight and horde everything instead of sharing like rational human beings
And helping other people is a bad thing. To be fair the same can be said about the UK but to a less extreme level.

Heart disease.

folks eat bad as fuck and being over weight and eating like that is celebrated.

Tell somebody they need to lose weight and eat better and watch the words like fat phobia get thrown at you.

I even seen folks that promote better eating lifestyle get called that

Agreed.

And unrelated, but related. Americans waste alotta food too.

But tbh. The food and food service industry is a BIG part of the economy. And cheap, unhealthy food is profitable so big bizness pushes it hard.

Eating unhealthy and over eating has become such a part of the American way of life. Yet there is no moderation or balance.

Of course not all Americans r fat, but alot are

Omg yes I love sleep it's so important. So many people struggle with issues preventing proper sleep.

European MFs be relaxed as shit. They have the GOAT work/life balance.

Americans still got that bust your ass for a job that don’t give a shit about you mentality, but that’s slowly changing.

The only comparable culture I can think of is the Japanese because salary men work themselves into the grave too.

Y’all keep talking bout work when it’s eating habits.

It’s the main reason and the studies back that

In the middle of the covid madness n whole job shuffling i worked at "fed ex ground" really an independent contractor... not fed ex

No heath insurance, no hourly wage (salary...u get the same oay regaddkesd of how long ur work day)...6 day work weeks. For upwards of 12 hrs or longer (till ur truck empty). i remember during training i tried to take abt 15 to 20 minutes jus to eat a lunch homemade lunch (muesli wit nuts n berries...n fruit) he started gettin ansty after abt 5 tryna get us on the road after wolfing down gas station "food" products... luckily i didn't NEED to be there cause i knew then n there (lunch situation) that I wouldn't be there long

N this was in rural white America (it wasnt poor)...it's farms everywhere in my route area..despite that...there was ONE puny supermarket , a dollar store, and a gas station that the local community ate out of....i saw that n was like, these people look like they suppose to based off what they have access to.

They also had problems with literacy...they had literacy fundraisers everywhere

As Cellar said, this is celebrated...if someone would object to living like that yall would start talking about personal responsibility and financial literacy and all kinds of other goofy shit as if this is beyond being addressed by state and corporate apparatus (that we all make viable)

Did I say it wasnt a factor or did I say the main factor was poor eating habits.

But the study says working habits are one the main reasons for bad eating habits.

So I would say that it's a bigger factor than poor eating habits

Go read that 1 study again and tell me who exactly are they referring too in this thread about Americans only.
