Right. The car swerved behind the truck and tailed it and that didn't cause an accident. He was perfectly fine after that. The accident happened when the truck decided to not let the car merge.

There really isn't a way around that.

bruh, the accident happened when the Honda decided to be an idiot and pass everybody on the shoulder.

Which one of you are the truck driver? Lol

Do you speed up when someone is trying to pass? Do you slow down near another car to block the way?

Which one of you are the assholes on the road lol

I have been all 4 drivers/vehicles

Honda driver:
yes I have driven down the highway like a crazed person. Switching in between lanes. Never recked though

Truck:
yes I have speed up when a crazed driver has pulled up all on my bumper in the left lane.

Car recording the whole thing:
yes I have been in the back watching crazy drivers rooting for them to get pulled over or some kinda bad Karma

Car minding they business in the left lane almost got hit:
yes I have been the driver that peeped crazed drivers from my rear view and trying to position myself as to not get hit and let them pass or even move out they way.

But now , I tend to lean more towards driving in the right lane and letting people go about they day as fast as they want.

No it didn't. The driver was passing on the shoulder with absolutely NO problem. Then the accident happened when the truck decided to not let it merge.

And you wanna know how I know that? Because the video evidence of that is RIGHT there in the original post.

You're not supposed to use the emergency lane to pass someone. That's where the car fucked up

Nah. They drove on the shoulder safely.

Now why wasn't they able to get back in traffic? Why did the white truck decide at that moment to accelerate vs maintaining their original rate of speed?

Better question, why would YOU speed up in this situation?

Agreed. You're not. But again, the question wasn't 'Did the Honda driver violate the rules of the road?'. Using the emergency lane to pass wasn't;t the cause of the accidental, was it? The truck purposely going out go it's way to not let the Honda merge back on the road was the cause of the accident.

To not let that mf pass lol. He didn't do it thinking the Honda was going to flipped and all that.

It's different when you've had to actually deal with something like this with an insurance agent lol

I definitely see what you mean though

Since Honda was already an idiot he should have just kept speeding on the shoulder far ahead of white truck. No reason to come back over to the left lane right there but to try and cut the truck off

What did you think would happen?

I ask because I'm NEVER the white truck so I'm asking from a place of ignorance so please enlighten me

The Honda gets behind the white truck again and then what...?

Right......

If the issue was them cutting each other off for miles and miles sure. But we don't know that.

In fact, its more likely the Honda would have kept speeding down the road

He wasn't about to cut there truck off. That truck SPED up to prevent the Honda from merging back on. If he was about to cut off they truck. the truck wouldn't have needed to speed up in order to block him.

He sped past the truck no the shoulder and tried to get back open with plenty of room...then the truck decided to speed up and block him.

The truck has been driving slow this entire time...hence the reason that the car is trying to pass him. Then, finally, out of nowhere, he suddenly speeds up to block the merge.

What are we doing here?

It looked like if the Honda waited until the truck pass that vehicle. The road would have opened up. So Honda would have gotten back over behind the truck and then switched back to right lane and sped off. The truck knew the Honda wasn't going to be able to squeeze between him and that other car.

Probably ends up getting brake checked. Truck was going full asshole so that'd be the expected outcome

Passing on the shoulder is 100% illegal in every jurisdiction unless it's to avoid an accident.

And it did merge, into the right lane, where it could have stayed.
