A lot of movies are deemed cult classics because of the era they premiered. At the time they were seen as edgy or was against a bunch of other trash so they stood out.

That’s why when you watch them years later when better movies have been released they are nowhere near as good.

Cosign Donnie Darko. That shit had some buzz, so I checked it out and fell asleep. Like it literally never got interesting. Only good thing about it was that Mad World song from the soundtrack. Even that was better used with that Gears of War 3 trailer.
