Lol. Naw I was LIVING. I just went downtown and stayed with my sister in the dorm. But after a couple days, she was like 'Aight nigga, time to take yo ass home. I got shit to do.'. Lol.

Wonder how many on here ran away from home at some point whether they came back or not. I didn't but my sister did and got a bunch of cousins that did

Nah but for real , my moms was flagrant, Chinese slippers and extension cords. My sister snitched to the school counselor, the police kicked in the door, they asked me where the bruises came from. Next thing I know I’m living with my grandma in SC. At that point, the worse I got was being told I ain’t shit and if I continue to do what I’m doing, she’s gonna send me back to my crack head mama.

I got spanked when I was young, but not so much as I got older and their were other tools and punishments available to my parents.

That's kinda why I laugh when people talk about how traumatizing spankings are. I'm not saying they can't be especially if the parents are in a rage and full on beating their kids, but it's not like the average person who was spanked even remembers most of those spankings. Most of us just have vague recollections of being spanked.

When I was like 11 I stopped getting ass whippings. And before that only got a few.
