Batista ain't rock level, but the notoriety from WWE carried over very well especially when they had him have a run the title to promote the movie...

And Paul Rudd had a hell of a run in the same apatow movies that made Seth rogen... Rogen just writes too....

And Micheal pena may be small but he's more recognizable than the captain marvel chick

Chris Pratt is a huge star now, but GOTG put him on the map... Jurassic World came after...

Same with Bautista... he was essentially a nobody to Hollywood til Drax...

Diesel, Cooper and arguably Saldana were unrecognizable in GOTG...

The Marvel brand was the selling point and the word of mouth was the kicker...

Paul Rudd had some name recognition but no one seen him as a superhero. Marvel did that

Who TF was Chris Hemsworth before Thor. Marvel did that.

Chris Evans 1st go round as a superhero was a massive flop, then came Cap. Marvel did that.

RDJ was straight in the "damn, he had a promising career", then came Ironman. Marvel did that.

Chris Pratt was like the 5th or 6th main guy on Parks & Rec. Then Marvel came calling.


Marvel has shown they don't need big names, they make em (Chris Hemsworth) or resurrect em ( RDJ, Chris Evans)

All those folks who were skeptical about Ant-Man/Paul Rudd, were convinced cause of the star power of Michael Pena and TI.....

Which is a great thing....

Felicity smoke, Cisco, and a few others were nothing like they were in the comics on CW.... But they do such a great job, they changed the comics versions these characters (because they're such small characters in the comics) and made them fit their tv counter parts.

DC stay doing this too.....

Harley Quinn was created on TV and came to the comics later ..

Basically what I'm saying is CW arrowverse show is doing such a great job with small characters on TV that it influences and makes them bigger in the comics...

Netflix ain't make that kinda impact yet
