I've seen players make genuine attempts for the ball, misplace tackles and get sent off, so what was Son doing here?

Forget how much Rudiger was "hurt" or not by the incident, Son clearly kicked out in anger/frustration... whatever, so let him reflect on that with his 3 match ban!
