Leroy Sane leaves Germany squad due to 'private reasons' following discussions with boss Joachim Low

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has been released from international duty by Germany.

The German FA broke the news via Twitter on Friday afternoon, reporting that Sane had left the group for 'private reasons' following a chat with boss Joachim Low.

Sane had been a second-half substitute less than 24 hours earlier when he came on in the 83rd minute of Germany's 0-0 draw with France in the Nations League.




There were some comments suggesting his GF is pregnant and about to give birth...personally don't know much on his personal to know that to be true. Either way, I hope he just gets back to playing the beautiful football he does asap!

Leroy Sane left the Germany camp to be with his girlfriend as she gave birth to their first child.

Coach Joachim Low gave the Manchester City winger permission to leave the base in Munich for 'personal reasons' and having been with his girlfriend for the birth of Rio Stella, he will miss Sunday's friendly against Peru.

Sane, 22, came on for the final seven minutes of Germany's goalless draw with France before flying off to be by Candice Brook's side.

Speaking to BILD, Sane's dad Souleyman Sane said: 'My granddaughter was born yesterday, we are very happy. Her name is Rio Stella. '

Brook, an American model who is nine years Sane's senior, is understood to be moving into his city centre apartment in Manchester.

He should get involved in the industry when his football career is finished. He obviously has a passion for it.

'I played for Roma in Italy so I knew the way the manager liked to play and it was something I favoured. He wants us to press high compared to last season when everyone knows we sat back,' explained Rudiger.

'Mbappe is unbelievably fast, really good. To stop him, you have to do it as a team because alone, good luck! But for me the best in the world is Messi, then Hazard.

Rudiger was asked to play at left-back by Germany coach Joachim Low in midweek. 'I will never say "No" and I think I did well there but everyone knows I am a central defender,' said the 25-year-old.
