Man game was killing the mixtapes before and after g unit...that 120 bars, 300 bars and runnin shit

First 2 studio albums were major hits too

There was a point in time he was one of my favs

Those g unot, stop snitchin stop lying, ghost unit mixtapes were all dope af

Dude held his own against g unit as a whole at its peak

Game v. G-Unit was enough to earn him that title in 2005-2006. Albums, while successful, didn't have a good enough shelf life to carry that momentum. But those two years, Game had it. He and Kanye (or Just Blaze) should have done a joint EP or something in that time.

Game ran the westcoast by default. It was a good 3-4 years where the West was completely wack. All that hyphy bullshit was coming out and you had niggas like Lil B being exalted to the top. Game was the only nigga putting out decent albums.

Game has like one album that I'd consider bad. Some albums are better than others, but he has a consistent discography. He's a damn good rapper and super underrated, imo. Yeah, I believe he had the west before Kendrick.

running something means there are others to stand above....

how did game get his buzz?

at that time when he came out there were no new major west coast acts.

Game got his buzz indie and got a deal and Dre got 50 to help Game get some hits on his debut

This is bullshit and click bait to get social media talking. This isn't meant to be taken seriously but congrats to Star, mission accomplished...

Nobody gonna tune into Everyday Struggle for his hot takes tho

Even though i cant stand the game as a rapper at all. He was only reason we didnt forget west coast

Nah, I wouldn't go that far. Oddly enough, I'd give Lil Jon credit for that. He put dudes like Too Short, Ice Cube, and E-40 in songs, and it led to a resurgence in their careers.
