it has a strong french influence, but thats where it stops. You find some small towns that speak that creole french but its extremely rare. Everybody here just has different sounding drawls and dialects
 
It's a LaQuinta right on the freeway in Gretna. You hop on the freeway and take next exit and you by Bourbon. However, like AP said it's gonna be packed. That's why it's best to room close so you can eliminate driving.

Lol just looked up some of those hotel prices and nothing too high but im like might be better to go next year. Reserve a room in february

my personal opinion is to not get the hand grenade as it is a tourist drink and they water it down for big events like Essence. I'ma check with my peoples to see if any of the "hood" daiquiri shops still around or in other words, the ones not in the french quarter
 
I may do nothing all day. Was going going to the gym but it closes today at 2:30. My partner hit me up said he was going to have a spades get together with some broads but knowing him they're losing teeth or big as a Volkswagen.
