If we gotta do this. ..bruh.

Lace em up.

So black thought ain't a real mc cause the roots a band?
When Sade does an interview, is she called by another name when they address only her?

They are not comparable.
Thats like comparing Guru's Jazzmatazz albums to Gangstarr.

It's very rare that we can compare a band to a singer. Like curtis mayfield vs the impressions.

Sonically speaking, a band showcases a unit whereas all the shine is on anita.

You get me?

You get me.

So you saying Sade NEEDs her band to be great?

Yes.
They all write the music together with synergy in mind.

You think she can get a swizz beats track and make it sound great?

Did you not notice a difference in New Power Generation and The Revolution?

Does Morris not need The Time?
Sade would sing good without her band.

And her music is still timeless.

All of Sade songs touch you.

ALL of them.

“My only regret was too young for Sade Adu”

Neither one is getting played at the party.

But Sade is the ultimate "It's rainy outside, my girl just left me, my dog died" mood music.
Ok...I agree there.
And since you seeing it my way.....my fault for the aggression.

I won't say "I apologize" cause that would make it homo since we talking Anita.

So my fault.

Sade music is bout love and being in love and not no break ups shit really.

Tell your woman to play “Your Love is King” and see if she look at you different

I remember an old VHS tape of Anita Baker playing live with her jazz band watching with my uncle in the early 90s... Obviously on replay... My uncle lost it and started gyrating

That high octane smooth voice gave birth to the talent of Toni Braxton...

I love Sade too - she Nigerian with British citizenship like me... Love Deluxe is one hell of an album

But Anita got jazz roots and I'm a big Jazz aficionado... Not on a surface level...

Anita for me
