For those who have asked where Aleister Black has been since he lost the Ambulance Match to Damian Priest on Smackdown, WWE Creative sources have told PWInsiderElite.com that Black has been off selling the match and the loss and that the current hiatus was planned. There's a belief he was also banged up a little coming out of the match but nothing that would have prevented him from appearing on TV if the company needed him to do so.

Black is STILL selling the eye "injury" from 2020 during the covid era. So this ain't new. Lol!

I was never a fan of mfs coming right back after a last man standing match or a ambulance match or any big time stipulation match where they should have been out for a minute

i hope they get back to doing that more often

Punk imo did it perfectly after that HIAC wit Drew. Bruh came back the next Raw hobbling and bandaged up. Told the crowd that the match took a toll on him and he was gonna be gone for a minute. Selling 101.
 
I think Joe Hendry is replacing Leon Slater this was supposed to be for the X-Division title. But even then why Joe Hendry? This nigga is signed to WWE lmaooooo there wasnt anyone else they could have swapped Leon with that was on their own roster???
 
TNA is hilarious man there has been a wave of young indie signings this week from both WWE & AEW, you would think TNA would snatch some of these younger wrestlers up and be the promotion that develops these super young indie guys. Instead they are doing things like blowing up WWE's line to bring Joe Hendry back for a nite and pushing niggas like Elias lol

They're about to get their Knockouts title yoked by another WWE talent
 
I'm starting to wonder why NJPW hasn't gotten into a "partnership" wit WWE. It could be possible they didn't want WWE poaching their talent like they doing TNA.

further more WWE AND NJPW have always had a weird relationship where its not necessarily hate but it aint love either. They just do their own thing. Thats why WWE for the longest wouldnt mention them.

Things seem to be the same with Naka not getting to go see Tanahashi because WWE declined to clear it.

But they could've made that move before their partnership wit AEW. I think that 1st Forbidden Door was the start of their partnership. But I do recall WWE been wanted to link up b4 that. Probably still do. Hence why Rock dropped that pic of him trying to solve that rubic cube wit "NPJW" label on it.

Who knows. I like NJPW partnership with AEW anyway.

The WWE and NJPW Partnership in 2021 That Never Was​


In June 2022, the wrestling world was taken by storm when New Japan Pro Wrestling partnered with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling to co-produce the wildly successful Forbidden Door pay-per-view. However, fans would have never been blessed with the Forbidden Door event had WWE and NJPW reached an exclusive partnership deal in 2021.

Reports started showing up in May 2021 about WWE being in talks with New Japan to become its exclusive partner in a move that would essentially cut AEW out of the picture.


According to Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, in an attempt to keep Danielson in the WWE, WWE’s Co-CEO Nick Khan opened lines of communication with New Japan, exploring ways for the two companies to collaborate.

Bryan Danielson would confirm later that year that WWE attempted to keep him in the company by offering him the liberty to also work in Japan.

At the time, founder and co-owner of AEW Tony Khan heard about this through trusted sources within New Japan. However, New Japan officials assured Tony that working with AEW was their priority.

Danielson would end up signing with AEW months after his WWE contract expired in April 2021, and partnership discussions between WWE and NJPW fizzled out.

It was one of the rare times in recent years WWE expressed a willingness to collaborate with another significant wrestling company.
