Charlton has been taking crazy digs at AEW the entire year. This was just his magnum opus. He flew way too close to the sun.

Again, he did it all whilst Rocky Romero (an AEW & NJPW VP) was on the desk. Rocky and Walker tried to reign him in. NJPW has historically taken their partnerships VERY seriously so that level of disrespect on comms from one of their office employees to a business partner without clearing it first was always going to end this way.

He was just extremely unprofessional.

That NJPW/NOAH was promotion versus promotion card.. He’s suppose to put over his promotion.. I’m the NOAH commentators were doing the same thing in the Japanese commentary.. After the Omega/Kidd match.. Kenny took a pic w/ Chris so if he had problems w/ what was said that would’ve never happened…

NOAH's ace Kaito Kiyomiya was in 2023's G1 and was constantly buried on comms by him. He has big leagued Dragongate guys in Best of Super Jrs and in the Tag Leagues.

The NOAH commentators do not do such a thing. Fulton and Pickering are pros. There's a hierarchy in japan that is never violated. Only Kevin Kelly and Charlton constantly bury other promotions.

What does a Kenny pic have to do with anything? Kenny didn't hear the comms in the ring. It was NJPW's higher ups that took issue with it.

You cannot tell me things that are untrue and expect me to believe them. He was simply unprofessional and penalised for it.

It was hours after the match.. I’m sure by then someone got word he did have problems W/ it.. If go back and listen to the press conference that Kidd/ Omega did before the match a lot what Chris repeated during match was taken from what Kidd said during the press conference.. So if Kenny had a problem what Kidd said during the conference he could have told Chris to not play up that stuff…

But he was burying Okada, Jay White, Ospreay and talking down on the Continental Classic during the match so its not all about Kenny or if he was okay with it.

He has a history of doing this stuff that gets heat on him. His broadcast partners asked him to stop. He didn't.

It was his own company that acted without input from AEW.

I promise you it's okay to just agree he was unprofressional.

Said Okada, Ospreay, Jay White were stolen away from NJPW (false, they left cos NJPW was broke at the time) and have done nothing ever since (also false).

Called TK a money mark. (In isolation, its a weird comment but using insider terms to bury a business partner, not a rival, is gonna inevitably land you in hot water).

He’s unprofessional for trying put over the story that Kidd /Omega wanted told based on their press conference which he used some of Kidd’s quotes during his commentary…

 
Wrestlers who's lines have been cleared by the company vs a comms guy who went into business for himself.

Again, he has a history of doing this but the facts don't matter here bc AEW bad lmfao.
 
He got what he deserved. Plain & simple. If your partners and everyone is telling you to fall back and chill, and you STILL continue...then you deal with the punishment.
