NBA Offseason Thread

Lol @ Paul George.

Nigga, they don't love you like that.

Stay in OKC and nobody cares.

Go to L. A. and it's all about what LeBron gonna do.

Go to Philly and you were their third choice.

Foh with this miniseries bullshit.

So is the argument against Ben is that he wasn't a "rookie" or is it that yall think Mitchell had a better season? Bcuz other than scoring avg. Ben's numbers shit all over Mitchell and Tatum. Imo that win streak Philly had without Embiid sewed the award up for him. Mitchell was a volume shooter while Tatum was a 4th option role player. Deal with it. That award was Ben's to lose as soon as he start getting triple dubs. Some of yall was so blinded by them same triple dubs by Westbrook last year and now yall ain't fuckin with them? They all had great years and should have great futures.

Personally i wanted him to lose so he could be humbled.
Both reasons.

Mitchell lead a team in the West in scoring and played with no all stars

Ben after being drafted a Year before every other rookie and already establishing strong chemistry with his teammates, played with an allstar in Embiid

Fuck Ben Simmons

Utah lost Hayward and Gobert was injured most of the year, Rubio never made the playoffs in Minny and the rest of that roster is pretty average, he still led the Jazz to the 5th seed, Tatum is the best player but Mitchell should of got it

It's cool though because the geek journalists voted for the marsupial lookin nigga so you got their validation...

Just get the players' validation next...

If you got drafted and had the chance to work and practice all year with nba coaches and players and even though you didn’t get to play, you’re not a rookie.

Yea.... I didnt know you could be "red shirted" in the pros too.

But it's all good. Congrats Ben.

this is why shit like triple doubles can be a bullshit stat

thats the only reason Simmons won

Mitchell clearly had the better season and did more with less

He didn’t clearly do anything though.

y’all exposing yourselves, the Jazz were 8-10 games under .500 and 3-4 games out the playoffs before gobert returned then they took off

Simmons roy,and nobody was talking about that sophomore bullshit when Blake won Roy

Casual ass niggas

He kept them in contention while playing with Joe Ingles and Ekpe Udoh in the west as a first year player, he deserves it

I probably wasn't around then but I was saying the same shit when Blake won. Them niggas not really rookies IMO. They sat out a season but at the same time they practiced against pros, traveled with the team and got professional help for a whole season and they're being judged against players who got none of that experience. For that I think Donovan Mitchell should've won it.
