NBA Offseason Thread

They foolishly think Lebron is coming and bringing Leonard with him. Fultz is suppose to be used to get Leonard in a trade. Me, i never wanted Lebron and now i don't want Leonard. Too many red flags involved with him right now. That just leaves Paul George as the last star. I would love to have him in Philly, but i just don't think he is coming. So we need these youngins to step the fuck up and Fultz has the talent to do that. Truth be told i am more concerned about Ben than Fultz.

Don't think Ben has the commitment to really work on that jumper this summer?

Why they singling out the Knicks for passing on Porter lol. A team with depth like Denver can afford to take him a bad team that needs immediate help couldn’t afford to take that risk.

Cause Knicks fans are trash bro. If its not a name they havent heard, they dont want him.

Glad this front office seems to be a bit different.

The real reason the Sixers traded back and got Zhaire Smith is two reasons, One Financial. they save money moving back 6 picks to take him. number two they got a future first-round pick for Bridges which could be great but that's three years down the road we're trying to contend now. I would have rather had Bridges but Brent Brown is enamored with Zhaire Smith skill and Brent Brown hasn't been wrong so far.....

I'm hearing that he doesn't feel like much is wrong with his mechanics. Fultz is working with Drew Hanlen a well known shooting coach and rumor is that Simmons turned down the invitation to join them.

Very true. That Miami pick imo is more about using it in a trade rather than waiting three years to use it.

I think they want him more for guarding smaller, quicker guards that Ben kinda struggled with in the playoffs.

That's what Fultz would do. Bridges could gaurd 1-4 and is is already comfortable playing off the ball. Smith is younger and more athletic but Bridges is more of a sure thing.

Shouts to woj, shams and marc stein leaking the picks ahead of time like usual. Fuck watching the draft

Mavs gonna do somethin stupid like max cousins/capela or trade for dj so they can make that playoff push in dirks last season

bulls wanted to trade up for bagley, jjj or trae(woulda picked bamba if he fell to 7).

Grizz wanted to dump parsons contract to swap the 4 & 7 FOH.Hawks wanted to swap 3 & 7 +22 and a '19 pick like they got from the mavs (they wanted trae the whole time he might not been there at 7)

carter a blah pick but he more skilled than every big picked ahead of him and will be a good fit with markannen whatever

Bulls had access to mpj medicals before anyone in the league said long term prognosis wasn't good

From what I'm told, there's tension now between Houston and Chris Paul, because there was definitely some type of 'handshake, wink-wink, we're gonna max you out' ... but now they're not so sure. Houston, with good reason, doesn't want to do that.

"But they got an out because they got new ownership. So Daryl Morey can go to Chris Paul and be like, 'I want to do it, but the new owner doesn't want to give you five years, or four years.'

Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta sounds like a smart man.

Paul is 33 years old (he will turn 34 next May) and let's just say that he most likely isn't going to age too well.

If Houston gives Paul a five-year max, the point guard would be making around $46 million at 37 years old.

That sounds...

...like a bad investment for Houston.

The Rockets should not give Paul more than three years, unless they get a long-term commitment from LeBron James (which doesn't sound likely).
