Im not seeing this in theaters so im down for reading all the spoilers. Can someone explain to me how Kung Lao is alive? he died in the first one didnt he? So is he a villain in this one? get resurrected by Shang Tsung or Quan Chi or something?

This is an improvement over the first film, its undeniable that it is. They increased the amount of fighting which puts the film in a tough place where they need to sacrifice story to make this more enjoyable than the first. Way more settings for the fights. Johnny Cage and Kano brought the comedy, let me tell you. Kano might be my fav character through the first 2 films. CGI was still wonky, I did like the score. I would be there for a third film

Saw it this morning. It was a good sequel. Kano is absolute comedy. The pace of the movie is really good; you get decent introductions for new characters, not too much of the story drags. Great fatality scenes. Definitely worth watching in theater, but no rush in waiting either. I'll definitely rewatch when its streaming.

The only complaint I heard so far is that Johnny Cage was less "Hollywood" than in the 90s film, who appeared more flashy and confident. That's not my own complaint though.
