She was at the community college tryna get her GED, cuz she dropped out, due to the kid. Shorty was 100% underage, and the was the absolute last time I reached out to her...

There was no sneaking around situation, cuz she really moved around like she was grown...well her people's let her move around like she was grown. She had me thinking she was grown.

But she wasn't. And that shit fucked me up, I think I went celibate for a year after the experience.

The catalyst was the 13 year old girl feeling confident to sneak her friend in the house against her parents permission.

I'm my experiences with girls, by 13, you should know better than sneaking ANYONE in your house... Like if my 13 year old daughter snuck a 13 year old boy in my house and got caught?.... The boy would 100% leave with his life.... But she is in a fuck ton of punishment as a result. She fucked up.... at a high level. That's like the worst possible thing to do at that age.....sneak someone in my house? For sex? At 13??? Yeah.... The highest level of punishment I can distribute as a parent... That 13 year old will get.

This girl snuck in a 20 year old..and the result is the man is dead, and the parent is in prison. These consequences are way heavier than sneaking in a boy her age. But she did sneak the nigga in. So she 100% should hold herself accountable for the consequences that happened to her mother and the dude she let in.

Even if there's no law for it, she gotta hold that.. Cuz many 13 year girls know better than to sneak ANYBODY in their house..

And at 13, it's perfectly acceptable to tell a person they were using bad judgement.

So if they are dumb, smart or whatever, why should they not be held accountable for their actions?

Don't you praise them and reward them when they do good? Why they can't be punished for the mistakes they made?

We punish them for everything else, but we pump the breaks when they cross the line with being involved with older women or men?

Can't be selective imo.

Of course you can tell them they're using bad judgment. But expecting a 13 year old to fully understand the consequences, especially that it could result in death, isn't as clear as "I warned them so they should know"

Being dumb doesn't absorb you from being held accountable for you actions.

If a teen robs a bank, they shouldn't be let off the hook?

If a teen robs you, you would want them to be prosecuted.


If a teen crosses that line of knowing what's wrong, they should be held accountable for their actions.

What happens, teens that get told that, it's not their fault, or it was the "other" side that made the mess, they grow up to be adults who always put blame on to others.

They don't know how to handle be accountable for their fuck ups.

Start holding children and teens accountable for actions and cutting down excuses, you may get a better person.
 
At the end of the day a grown ass man decided to sneak into a home that was not his.

Context of the situation doesn’t change that fact, only strengthens he knew the actions he was taking had consequences.

That's a life lesson she rightfully learned by dealing with a grown man.

If it was a boy her age, it might not have resulted in death and not having her mother at home. And she needs to understand that going forward in life. I ain't saying throw the girl in jail. But whoever is the next responsible adult that has to deal with her needs to place emphasis on everything that transpire and let her know... She is not to be sneaking anybody in any more houses she resides in.

Like think if this was your niece, and your sister went to jail. And she had to come into your home? Would you not be more diligent in paying attention to how she moves and if she's still in the business of trying to talk to grown ass men??

Or would you just give her the benefit of doubt and not bother?

I tell her the rules and the consequences for breaking each rule.

It’s a dictatorship not a democracy, ain’t no discussion because that leads to being reactionary like the mother was.

Discussing things muddies the waters.

Leaves no room for guessing or thinking they can game the system, because even that will be covered.

If they don’t like it, there’s a girls camp up in Arizona that fights wild fires, they’d love to have her.

Acknowledging they are dumb isn't absolving them from said action that was deemed to be dumb or giving them a pass for being dumb

Yes, we should expect a 13 y/o to full understand reasonable consequences for actions like this. Teens are dumb, but they know right from wrong. That's why she was sneaking the dude in. She knew she was wrong.

Now I say reasonable consequences because the infraction shouldn't have resulted in a death. We can't fault a 13 y/o for not anticipating that her mother might execute the dude.

At the end of the day, it's fair to point out that the girls actions led to the tragedy. It's not fair to put that tragedy on her as if it was a foreseeable consequence of her actions.

I don't know what's going on in here anymore. Skimming through posts, I see dudes talking about they were still sneaking/sneaking chicks into homes at 20 and 21. Really? It's getting weird in here. lol
