Because, clearly, Ma$e's pubs are worth far more than that. Dude had some of the biggest songs of the late 90's on a global scale, that's the kind of shit you work and get it into movies, tv shows, and commercials all over the world. And as long as he has the masters he can re-release that music as many times as he wants to and on any platform he wants.

We look at $2M like "damn, that's a lot of money", but if Puffy can earn that 4-5 times over then it ain't worth it to give it up for that price.

It's not that I condone what Puffy's doing, but from a pure business point of view $2M for something of far greater value is simply a bad business deal. And Puff did give him a number, Mase just didn't share it instead giving us a vague "What the European offered" instead of a hard number.

So Mase expected Puffy to take a deal like he did? LOL, hell nawls. Just 'cause he was dumb and sold his pubs for peanuts don't mean Puffy gotta sell it back for peanuts.
 
I am tired of people crying when they sign bad contracts. NWA should have served as an example. Ma$e hussling church and went back to Diddy so he is no victim. He didn't look out for other COC members either and jumped at his first chance to get signed. People also forget Diddy pick the beats and songs so he has a large hand in the creative part of the music. He made Big by telling him to do Juicy and Big Poppa.

Not at all since Diddy made Ma$e. He was Murder Mase before and was not wearing shiney suits til Puff made him a star. Notice Bad Boy didn't die after after Ma$e left. Shit Diddy had his own platinum album after Big Died. I don't rock with Puff but thems the facts.
 
Puff has shown that he's always gonna look out for Puff first at the end of the day.

That said, from his POV he's prolly thinking it's just business, only business. And at the end of the next 8 years, the business deal will end amicably.

But Mase should prolly just use some of that 2 mil to invest in a few stainless steel refrigerators just in case. I don't trust Diddy.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Diddy tell anyone to go back and rewrite contracts or to hand over they assets to their former artist?

Or was he speaking on how buisness should be conducted going forward and how artist today need to stand up for new artist coming in the business? Was he speaking on artist of color especially being jerked when its time for the accolades being handed out?

Kinda wack IMO to scold the Grammys saying shit like "We are artists, and we are sensitive about our shit.... We are passionate. For most of us, this is all we got. This is our only hope."

While at the same time not making amends for preying on young black artists who have nothing.. and whose "only hope" is hip hop
