Ma$e- Double Up

Back in the day, this was a collasal disappointment. Revisiting it today, I don't hate it as much but there's still not much enjoyable about this album... a bunch boring, characterless rap that tried to recreate an outdated formula.... and I'm a big fan of Harlem World.

Bad Boy did nothing but drop duds in 1999. I'm pretty sure Mase knowing Double Up was a disappointment and had zero hits on it made retiring a hell of a lot easier.

I had no idea Mase was GUnit

It was a short yet odd pairing. 50 took em shopping in one of his videos hahahaha.

Far as the album, I heard it a while ago and all I remember was how bad the beats were and the hooks not being very good. Which is part of the reason Harlem World was such a good album. Mase gon Mase. But is only so much, that good rapping can do to save a project from bad beats and terrible hooks.
