One classic album under his belt. A part of some classic albums. Part of me wants to say yes but I see what you're doing so imma let you cook. Lol
 
The thing about being a legend is, you have to have a certain measure of popularity. That doesn't matter when talking about your favorites or who you think is the best, but it does when you use a term like legendary. No offense to Quik, but even amongst West Coast rappers, he's barely mentioned. Let alone, in the wider Hip Hop discussion space. I say vet because of that.
 
Hes a legend... This is where I said in the 'what makes a legend' thread, that different artists have different criteria for what makes them legend...

Quik has 3 plat albums and one gold album, so hes got sales figures...

He helped define the sound of the West...

He has classic solo work to his name and hes produced classic tunes for others...

Hes also worked with a who's who from Pac, Snoop, Jay, 50, Xzibit, Game, Luda, Talib to Adina Howard, Janet Jackson, R Kelly, Will Smith and Shaq etc...

He has a legendary diss track in 'Dollars & Sense'...

If you made a compilation of genre defining hip hop tunes for an alien thats just landed on Earth, you would include 'Tonight' and 'Born & Raised In Compton' in there...

He also had 2 dope proteges in Suga Free and Mausberg...
