I had a response drafted for a post in here speaking on the misunderstandings of Ye's mental health, but this tweet explains it better than any of us ever could. There's cheap promotion (Jay and Rihanna are redundant in music at this point, let it go Ye), shameless publicity stunts and there's legit cries for help. Ye falls in the latter category... in a world where human suffering is getting trivialized by whether or not you wear a mask or stand up for an game opening ceremony, a man legit trying to better himself and his family is getting held to his mistakes by ppl that wouldn't even help him if he asked them personally. Dude's still a weirdo, but he's been begging for help since at the latest 2013.

Meh, I'm good on the album. And he's definitely been on some goofy shit since before his mother died (George Bush don't care about Black ppl but you want us to spend money on these racist white labels you put on your back just so you can feel special? Eat a dick nigga). I'm just saying... niggas is goin thru shit on top of the world burning. I'm personally treading lightly on writing off ppl's sporadic actions as (incurable) insanity or subjective ignorance. Yeezy season is apporaching, but so is 50. Dude's going thru a midlife crisis on top of a mental breakdown, staged or not. What I see is a dude trapped in a zeigeist trying to figure out his own reality. That other Harriet Tubman abortion bullshit is just Ye pressing the usual shock buttons. My problem is you just dismissing certain shit he's doing that has dangerous implications for other black people as "pressing shock buttons". The running for president, harriet Tubman, slavery is choice, being at the White House in a maga hat, calling trump your father, draping yourself in Confederate flag garments, saying you can beat Biden in a write in, you not gonna convince me he doesn't understand or can't comprehend why that shit is wrong. Theres a pattern here that has nothing to do with any mental issue. Bruh is on a different type of time.

Don't waste my time with those questions. Do the research if you need to. I don't know what point you trying to make asking them.

Of course you can be functional.
Being bi polar doesn't make you retarded. It makes your emotions swing that's where the crying and bullshit he doing comes in. It doesn't make you do anything you ultimately don't want to do.

It's medication he can take, medication he can easily afford to stay on. He made a conscious decision not to take it. Same way he made a conscious decision to say and do all those things he has to betray black people. He planned to say and do those things.
