This is where I'm at with it. I don't know dude, so maybe he has some past shenanigans going against him, and I'm just going by the headlines. I don't care to look any deeper into this. If he's transitioned from some other genre of music to R&B, how is him saying the music has gotten "Blacker" a bad thing. Isn't that him acknowledging the inspiration? I thought that's what people wanted these nonblack artists to do.

Get whiter and make white music then

Keep whatever this "homage" to RnB is.

Bro, you ain't got to listen to it. If it's trash, leave it in the bin. I just don't understand getting upset with dude for saying he's making "blacker" music when he is literally making "blacker" music. The same people complaining about this would be mad if the album was a hit and he didn't acknowledge the black shift. Ya'll would be saying he was appropriating.

I know I ain't gotta listen to it

That was never in question

My point still remains. Go make white music. Get that shit cracking

Real question, in your mind artists can only make music that was invented or is dominated by people of their race?

Do you feel that way about Black opera singers or Black Classical musicians?

I might not be the best person to ask this

Maybe it's irrational and not based in 100% fact but I believe black people created everything and the only talent white people had was coming in and stealing it either outright or trying to co-opt it.

I'm not saying there aren't white people who legitimately love and appreciate the blackness of music and they just want to contribute to that.

I do not believe that's what's happening in this particular case. Could I be wrong? Maybe. But I also dgaf

If he does that like other white artists have yall will hate him for that too and say he just used hiphop to get on.

It's okay to not like the album or the sound coming from him but I think attacking his character for it is weird. I don't think he had ill intent.

Then he should've did that out the gate and stuck with it
