The west FAR exceeds the southern states in agricultural production. On its own, California ALMOST exceeds all the southern states in agricultural production. And if you remove cattle...CALIFORNIA ON IT'S OWN HAS GREATER AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION THAN ALL OF THE SOUTHERN STATES COMBINED.

The entirety of the midwest is self sufficient as-is the souf. That's why this shit would really be us vs y'all if it came to that.

Midwest got oil reserves out the ass, so does the south.
Midwest grows everything people need, so does the south.
Midwest is armed to the teeth, so is the south

All anybody has to do to 100% cripple the west, especially California, is to take complete control of the Colorado River. Once that's gone, Cali, AZ, NV, NM, UT, and WY are basically dead.
