My question is ... Why even say it in an interview? Why put that energy into the air to be debated. If it was a thought, why not just leave it a thought?

What do you gain by saying you were thinking it even considering something you clearly had no intention of doing?

Shit sets the stage for mixed interpretations.

But he not saying he smacked Nas, and he not saying Nas was scared of him. He also not saying if he smacked Nas, that Nas wouldn't have smacked him back.

Nas apologizing is dope though. Theres stories from a bunch of rappers that Nas wilded out on at that time that said once Nas saw them, he apologized cause it wasn't really about them, Nas was just going through personal shit and lashed out on random mfers like a bitch. A lot of that happened during the early 00s when his mom passed. He was angry as hell during that time and it's why he went so hard on Stillmatic.
