Thought he was going to be kidnapped. I'm surprised he didn't run away to the fat puppet guy or the property owner since he knew them. Running away to the stranger just because he liked the graffiti tagging was odd
The parents were a real piece of work. Had a feeling the cops were dirty since that's a hollywood trope. Even had the garbage people as a mob/mafia lol
The dad's journey was interesting. A couple times I wasn't sure if he was going to make it out or not
This show was super dope! Surprised more people aren’t talking about it. Had me hooked from jump and all the way through.
Liked how on it’s face it seemed like a show about the white kid’s kidnapping but it ended up being resolution to a black kid’s murder. While being a deep psychological narrative about a broken man at the same time.
Starting my journey with this show. Benedict's character is not a sympathetic character after the 1st episode lol. An asshole to his wife, his kid and his co-workers. Black gay cop is way too focused on the club owner so they probably had something in the past
Just finished watching this. That black cop was the best character in the show, his detective skills on point. Solved two cases at once and showed how extensive the corruption was in 1980s NYC. So many characters not being true with themselves cause of the homophobia amidst the AIDS epidemic. And the father's journey realizing what really matters
