DEBATE Do spoons have more versatility than forks?

Forks are superior. Spoons only have an advantage when it comes to foods with liquids. In every other case, forks are as good or better.

Like I really don't even eat soups and stuff that much, so I rarely ever use spoons.

Eatin' cereal, chili, and chicken noodle soup are the only times I ever use a spoon.

uncouth asses.

fork >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

only reason y'all say spoons 'cause some of y'all use 'em for "other" purposes.

Just seeing this thread. I know this is mad old, but you went to the extreme here Koncept, lol.

But I use both for when it's called for. Spoons have no place in a spaghetti noodle type dish.

But I think we can all agree that chop sticks have no place at the table.

My son insists on using chopsticks if we're eating Chinese for dinner or whenever he's eating a bowl of ramen. He's got a few sets of washable joints.

Past that... Yeah. Not in an American household.

I've met a number of folks from the generation after me that use chopsticks for everything. Kind of frustrates me. Like, it comes off as snobby lol. Eating spaghetti with some chop sticks. I bet its the anime rotting their brains.

My son is borderline fluent/literate in Japanese and my youngest daughter knows some but is nowhere near his level. My son is fascinated with the culture over there. Shit, for all that I almost packed a suitcase to move to Japan myself back around '96-'97 and two of my boys spent the bulk of the 90's and the early 00's living in Japan.

My middle girl is almost conversational in Mandarin Chinese and is actively trying to get a gig over there.
