Sure, but if you knowingly choose to accept the abuse because you believe it's an acceptable price to pay for a certain lifestyle, don't you have to accept responsibility for being in that position?

I think that's where the bulk of the argument in this topic is coming from.

Some people believe that these women did certain things because they were being abused.

Some people believe these women willingly accepted the abuse because they wanted the perks that came with it.

I believe everyone acknowledges that Puff was an abuser, but some seem to believe that the victims do bear some responsibility for what happened while others do not.

For me personally, I do think you have look at a victim differently if their reason for not leaving a situation behind was that they didn't want to give up their plush apartment or their 12K a month allowance.

Sometimes, sometimes (not talking about this case in particular) its not a matter of choosing the lifestyle but a matter of being scared of having nothing to go to when leaving that lifestyle. No backup plan, no money in the bank, no control over funds, have a child/children to take care of, no one they feel they can go to, shame, no real world skills cause being a companion is all they know. You couple all that with abuse and drug use and you can have someone insulated and immobilized with fear.

No, their fights had nothing to do with freakoffs, If I remember it was because he went somewhere with his family and didn't take her. She started the physical altercation.
