Sources tell Nexus Point News that production is aiming to begin in the summer of 2026, specifically in June. Gunn will write, direct, and produce the film. DC Studios’ co-CEO and chairman, Peter Safran will produce along with Gunn. David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult are set to reprise their roles as Clark Kent/Superman and Lex Luthor, respectively and will serve as co-leads of the film. Although the film will continue their rivalry and feature Lex as an antagonist, rumors suggest they will also join forces as well. Although unverified, sources also tell NPN, that Supergirl (Milly Alcock), Lobo (Jason Momoa), and Peacemaker (John Cena) will have roles in the film as well. On Instagram, Isabela Merced hinted at her return as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl saying “See you soon.”
 
A couple of these pics looks like they’re fighting side by side. They had to share those particular pics for a reason. It’s happened in the comics before. They reluctantly team up to take on a bigger threat to earth. Maybe Brainiac. Would love if it was Mongul.

As long as we don't get another Superman film with General Zod I'm interested. I wouldn't mind seeing Brainiac or Mongul on screen.
 
At the end of peacemaker the salvation planet is apparently ruled by darkseid as a training ground for his armies at least from the comics. That's supposed to play a big role in the future movies. I wonder if darkseid will be alluded to and brainiac will be the big bad or if theyre swapping in Brainiac as the ruler and not darkseid

IIRC Brainiac wanted to miniaturize the world for his collection while Darkseid wanted the antilife equation so he could rule over all sentient life
