Yeah why do you need a Green Lantern to investigate some small town shit? Seems a bit overkill to have someone that powerful doing work on that small a scale.

I’ll give it a chance though cause I can overlook that if the acting and story are good.
Because it’s the same location Peacemaker wound up in at the end of S2?

One of the characters is named Anton and he looks human, but his character description is an alien who is trying to reveal the truth and get revenge for his people. Or something along those lines. Rumors are saying he may be atrocitus of the red lanterns since thats a similar backstory, but it seems far fetched. We at least know this Anton guy is an alien disguised as a human though.

They're up to something in that small town and it probably comes off as a light enough mission to train Jon as the new lantern until it ends up turning into something bigger. Im sure as long as the show is successful, future seasons will give us those space stories that are so dope

Didn’t know that either.

@Freeman I’m never beating the allegations, lol. I don’t be following shit close enough lol.

I get the gripe about the suit but maybe they decided against it because of how dumb it looked on Ryan Reynolds. Also when does this take place in the timeline? Because Hal seemed oblivious to Guy.

So the plan is: take Green Lantern, a dude whose job is literally patrolling the entire universe, and have him stuck on Earth solving gloomy crimes like he wandered onto the set of "No Country For Old Man"..."Dark Winds" or some shit...SMH

Because yeah, when people think Green Lantern, the first thing that pops into their head is obviously “low-budget crime drama.”

If the budget can’t handle aliens, space sectors, giant constructs, and cosmic chaos—you know… the entire reason Green Lantern exists—maybe don’t build a show around one of the most cosmic characters in the DC Universe.

This is like making Star Trek but the Enterprise never leaves the parking lot.

Didn't y'all just rave about the most recent marvel show that was more grounded?
