No stank faces, but the self hatred needs to be addressed. Marrying a white woman is detrimental to the cause a pro-black person is supposedly supporting. The black woman is the least likely to be married and black men are damn near at the top of the list of men who marry outside of their race. It's not a coincidence.

I think we need to make a clear distinction between Black Pride and Black Supremacy.

I know nothing exists in a bubble, but a lot of ideals people attribute to Black Pride would be deemed racist if they were displayed by another group of people.

i think there are several factors that go into ones dating preference.

Dont get me wrong, i definitely believe there are some self hating folks, but i think there are folks, based on a myriad of reasons, that are just attracted to people outside of their race, but i dont think it lessens any impact or stance on the issues of colored people.

The same isn't assumed for black people. And I honestly don't care who another person marries. That's their choice. But due to the climate we live in among other things, I would never have dated a white woman. Does that make me racist/prejudiced? Possibly. But I've always been one to treat others how I would want to be treated, but I refuse to allow myself to be disrespected, which in most cases is an inevitability when in a interracial realtionship. But I think at times we can be guilty of allowing our own perceived "victimhood" to warp our perception of how we treat others.

I'm proud to be black. And even if things were different as far as race relations, I still would be married to a black woman and have black children.

But I think it absolutely possible for white people (and others) to be proud of who they are without demeaning others or feeling superior to other races. The same goes for black folks.

But when the conversations goes from "I'm proud of who I am" to "in proud because we are xyz and better than others" I think it becomes an issue.

My own personal conviction won't let me be with anyone but a black woman but as a man, I can't open my mouth about who the next person chooses to fuck, date, or marry. Cause you never know what kind of life they've lived, what they personally believe in, or what's going on behind closed doors.

I see what you're attempting to say and it's toe'n the line of the "all lives matter" rhetoric, in saying "black lives matter is racist , how come it's not all lives matter". Every black movement from the black power movement to the black lives matters movement they've tried to spin it and make a reverse racism thing, so while I'm always open to discussions like this with other black people, that post you just made perpetuates their reasoning of deeming anything pro-black as racist.

I never once said in this thread that black people are superior to white people. What I've been saying more than anything is we need to stick together and everything begins and ends in the household. The numbers I've provided in this thread a'rent a coincidence but a reflection of our current mindstate and self - hate. Which is something that needs to be addressed. This is about us loving us and not about us hating them.

And while thos may be subject to each person's one personal moral code, IMO I feel while we do all of these things to uplift our own, we need to be mindful of our own actions so we don't become like those that we are fighting against. If that makes sense.

I agree 100%, there's a handful of black organizations that preach "the white man is the devil" rhetoric which I never subscribed to. Now while there might be some veracity to some of the things they preach, I always felt like we need to focus more on us and less on them.
