I wonder how much the reboots/remakes made this possible

People been craving originality from hollywood for a long ass time now. Maybe they'll find another now that they're searching youtube and reddit for ideas
 
This was different but entertaining. Definitely had me engaged throughout. I came in knowing nothing about backrooms but now I feel like I gotta watch the YouTube's
 
Just watched with my daughters. Shit was certainly interesting and very creepy. I got the sense that the backrooms were like Clark’s mind. The pirate was his ego and when it ate him it was the ego taking over. He obviously had an ego given how he always touted how he paid for everything for his wife and demeaned her about it.

Of course red head lady was his wife which is why she ran when ego pirate Clark showed up. She represents his co-dependency because he definitely wanted her and was hurt by the divorce.

I’m not sure who fat boy and lamp guy is supposed to be. Maybe fat dude was his alcoholism since he was big and Clark liked eating him? And lamp guy may have been his empathy which is why it was wheelchair bound. He did feel some empathy for the therapist in that moment which is maybe why the lamp was on during that moment.

Idk, just seems like everything we saw was a glimpse into Clark’s mind. And maybe the therapist’s mother had her own backrooms (mind) which the therapist had visited before. She seemed to recognize what Clark was talking about when he first tried to explain the backrooms.
 
I just finished my first watch.

I thought it was pretty dope. Definitely eerie as hell and had my anxiety going a number of times. It was hilarious, I got super stoned and when Clark brought his employees in with the camera and that whole time in the backrooms when they went down further, the faster my heart would feel. Then when it got to Clark yelling through the wall to the girl, then while his back is turned something else picks up the camera that moment had me shook lmfao.

Im definitely gonna watch some breakdown vids with all these theories people have, but I liked it a lot on my first watch. I was entertained.
