AMC - Anne Rice's Talamasca: The Secret Order (CANCELED After 1 Season)

Added to Calendar: 10-26-25

The best parts of Mayfair season 2 are the talamasca reactions to Malloy book which is clearly a lead in to the Tala6 TV show

damnit.. its not necessary to enjoy talamasca or the next season of interview is it? Im really not tryna watch Mayfair if I dont have to lol

I'm not sure how they'll work out when they're separated by shows since they interact with each other. I'm only in book 4 of Vampire Chronicles and the Talamasca has been present for awhile. I'm wondering if they'll do the same or similar approach how CW did Arrowverse

I almost think they should have just done the same concept GoT did and have it all in one big show

It's definitely not worth it.

One episode they mentioned the book coming out was bad timing for then to be dealing with the stuff going on this season.

And the most recent episode tonight they asked the dude had he read the book yet. He was like yeah, and the were talking strategies for damage control, and the dude Cysp was like naw just push the narrative the it's fiction.

Two very brief mentions.... But I feel like the book will be a major plot point when the show drops

I never attempted to watch the witch show, the way y'all talking about it that was a good decision.
Between naughty librarian and watch with ellbe.... Their commentary made me run it back... They were so invested and caught so many little things it made it watchable
. I'm about to see if any of them covered these teasers

My biggest concern...
How do they do the Tale of the Body Thief without David though?

Bet they're going to have some character mixed with David and some other person from the books or just replace David

Showrunners need their own version of the story and of course you must accept the change because it can't be a 1:1 adaption lol

I'm pretty sure they're going in the direction of using Daniel as David.

1. Daniel wasn't this developed in the books
2. The actor playing Daniel is a series regular
3. David took over the interviews later in the books.

So with Daniel conducting Lestat interview, I think it's pretty much clear that he's absorbed the David character. And he's already made contact with Raglan James.

Which means the talamasca already has

Real Rashid, Sam, and Daniel as people that have infiltrated or can pass information about the upcoming war or insurgence

Plus Daniel was young in the books. Even after he was made a vampire he was young.

This Daniel is old..... Like David. And he's already built a closer relationship with Louis. I'm pretty sure David and Louis were close in the books too. That Merrick story was essentially a Louis story with David. And some Claudia too. They might do that story. I think it would be a great use of all those characters

I'm still in disbelief they killed Claudia, what a great character
They at least gave her a semi happily ever after

She never got the chance to leave with Madeline in the books. They were killed immediately. Looks like on the show they left Paris for a few months.
I can only imagine their time spent together was great. They should have never came back

So they’re putting this out before season 3 of interview. I wonder if it’ll still be called IWTV or IWTV: The Vampire Lestat or something. Du so do these events of this storyline happen before the end vents in the vampire Lestat book?
