Didn't realize I had a history. I'm slightly curious what movies I supposedly miss the point of

I'd argue though that he went on a tangent with the 3rd movie and it doesn't work with the previous 2

Also I've seen other movies of his that aren't political

When I explain why 1 and 2 are not zombie movies you say I'm getting stuck in details but it seems more like you are

Checking on some reviews it looks like I'm not the only one that thought this wasn't good
Again you don't have to like the movie that's your preference. I'm not here to convince you I just pointed out things In your original post where you missed the point of the movie

The ending was so random till its revealed that the guy at the end is the kid from the beginning who survived. I love how at its most barest, this is a story of a son's love for his mother. Just as one life is ending, another is beginning. One of the few moments of humanity in this film where death and brutality is everpresent was Jodie Comer's character helping an infected woman in a moment of need to give birth. The filmmaking was incredible, crazy that it was shot with iPhones. Loved how they did the arrow shots when they would pierce the infected

The kid who played Spike put in a hell of a performance. You're essentially seeing this world through his eyes. It's so hard for him to accept his mother is dying. Death from where he lives is something that is out of sight. But with his mother's death, out of sight doesn't have to mean out of mind

Got it perfectly! The island has isolated itself from the rest of the world and failed to maintain a virus instead decided to create internal isolation and in one community the most powerful thing is being a man and killing the infected not for survival but as a trophy and sign of being a man.

23 years after his zombie film 28 Days Later Director Danny Boyle has returned with a sequel that is horrifying, touching and very entertaining. Putting together a beyond capable cast including Jodie Comer as Isla,Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Jamie, Jack O’Connell as Jimmy Crystal, Alfie Williams as Spike, Ralph Fiennes as Dr. Ian Kelson and Erin Kellyman as Jimmy Ink. Along with co Writer Alex Garland a coming of age story, apocalyptic story and a gorefest actually blend rather well together. As some scenes played out i thought well this should be completely taking me out of the film but they didn't. Rather I enjoyed the dark tones of the movie. The discoveries that young Spike makes of a world that once was and that is quite hard to explain especially certain technology that is fading away before his eyes. I thought the brief moments of humor worked well. There are scenes of extreme gore and not for the faint hearted. Boyle filmed scenes in which there is beauty, horror and suspense and its extremely amazing to look at. One standout scene made my eyes widen and I thought how is this going to play out with this character and will other characters be connected? My question was answered with an absolutely stunning sequence. Even the reactions of some characters to insanely graphic moments were a joy to watch. Some may find some of the gore to be over the top but I found all of it fitting for what I signed up for.

PROBLEMS: There were definitely a couple of moments and outcomes i couldn't fully get on board with. I was left wondering how much a character knew about something. I wonder how some people will feel about the ending that book ends the film. I laughed because i couldnt help but think about
a popular TV series especially the way the characters were moving.

Scale of 1 to 10 an 7½

Rewatched 1 and 2

They could have done such a better job with a rage virus that you get infected with by just blood transfer lol

I wonder if the brother and sister will be mentioned or is in this one

I forgot how crappy the video quality from 1 was lol

Hopefully they don't branch off too far some the original concept of infection
I remember 1 being a real chore to get through

Mainly cause I didn't view it through the lens of what it would be like if there was literally no one else when you woke up from a coma. The non dialog really annoyed young AP

I just don’t like how the virus evolving took a backseat to the overall story.

That shit evolving is a significant event
Tbh, I’m still confused. Did the virus devolve them? They seem to still have memories and the alphas can almost critically think. And I don’t know if it was explained, but in think the pregnant one was already infected when she got knocked up.

Shit was pretty good to me. Reveal that the guy at the end was the kid from the beginning was pretty good, but the scene itself was out of left field. Why they rocking the track suits and gold chains, looking like an anime fighting team, lol.

I thought the dad was that kid at first. And I thought the doctor would end up being the mom’s dad until he was revealed.

I like that the zombies are evolving. You’d expect that from a virus that’s been around to mutate for 28 years and as it infects people with different genetics.
