2026 NBA Offseason Thread

I was thinking about this too

But I feel like they can be at peace since they won

Between hart and bridges I’m getting rid of bridges personally

Well... prepare to say goodbye to a few knicks. Brunson isn't taking a 2nd pay cut.
For sure. Mitch gone. Shamet gone. Clarkson maybe stays for the minimum.

Lucky Knicks got some young guys they started developing. I can see Kolek, Diawara, and Mccular playing needed roles next year.

We just need a good back up big.

I kind of want them to draft a big but idk shit bout this draft class outside the top few.

Either way bench ain't gonna be nowhere near as deep if the young guys don't step into big roles. We gonna have to see.

Get rid of deuce

Bridges, Kat or og. Hart salary isn't going to cover it. Plus thats Brunson bff. Put a finger in his ass on live television and didn't get swung on. Jalen loves that nigga fr.
I just know OG ain't going nowhere. I'll kill someone for OG. I was saying he was my favorite Knick before the playoffs and after how he performed? He needs to be a Knick for life.

One of Hart, og, Kat, bridges is gone by the trade deadline maybe next summer depending on where the apron ends up. Mitch ain't enough with the salary raises + draft pick(s)

I agree. The good thing is KAT supermax is ending and I'm not asking him to take less or anything, but he def won't get a supermax and really idk if he will even be a max player by next summer.

What happens with KAT will determine the rest.

Also I'm cool Alvarado being gone too.

Luckily it's not just the Knicks, all contenders either going through this or gonna go through this.

This is what I was saying about OKC and Chet. Im not even saying my assessment of Chet is correct. My overall point is with the way the new CBA works with the 2nd apron etc, going forward a team can only have a core of 3 max or near max players and the rest of their players need to be plug and play. If you fuck up with one of those 3 contracts, it can throw your whole next 2-3 years off.

We not about to do the Chet convo again. Take Chet out of it. This was my overall point in how to team build now.

Its gonna happen with the Spurs too. Wemby getting paid this summer. Castle next summer. That Fox deal gonna fuck their shit up unless he starts playing near his contract. Sure they can trade him but they got to take equal salary back and no one gonna give expiring for Fox without a few picks attached which fucked up your flexibility for the future.

Team building much harder now and I kind of fuck with it.

How you spread the money around is important than ever, literally every dollar counts at this point

Our front office has been fucking up on multiple levels but they've been elite when it comes to negotiating

They got KD to leave 30 mil on the table
Jalen Greens contract was structured perfectly
Bari on a team friendly deal
Sengun team friendly deal

Gave Tari a very reasonable offer that he declined so we'll see what happens with him and Amen but Im very confident Amen takes less since the precedent has kind of already been set
