COMMUNITY 2026 Midterms

Honestly I'm surprised she did as well as she did. Her fundraising numbers looked like JJ McCarthy's completion stats. People be in they feelings after a big primary fight.

Black political power is shifting around the country in a era where The Great Migration is being reversed.

Yeah, black people don't have the same political power they used to in cities like NYC, LA, Chicago....because black people tired of the bullshit and are moving the fuck up outta there. Either to the burbs or back to The South.

Don't matter what white liberals think because black people will ABSOLUTELY still have final say on who the Presidential nominee is. Period. That's been true since Jimmy fucking Carter and it ain't changing now.

I don't know. I think it is. Between gerrymandering, the increase in other populations, and the strength of certain political movements, I think black voting power is being undermined a little. I don't think playing games where we take ourselves out of the mix is smart.

We always see charts showing how many black people voted for Kamala, and it's true we did the right thing, but black people gotta stop patting themselves on the back so much for that. A lot of us just voted along racial lines, and a lot of black women just voted for the black woman. In that particular case, she happened to be the better candidate, but what if she wasn't? Whatever if there was a primary and Kamala was the person that was going to just do more of the same (e.g., fund the genocide and let billionaires getaway with whatever they wanted) and the other candidate was the one that actually wanted to make substantive change. Would black people have voted for the right person then or would still just have gone with the black candidate? I'm betting it would have been the latter.

I wonder why though. Were the Dems in TX unhappy with her? She's one of the most prominent Senators in the country, and she was pretty much always on the right side from a Democratic perspective. What is this dude presenting that would make them want to take her out of her seat I wonder.
