He has no idea how good some of the young players are and doesn't want to be there.

As I said before, the young core (Riley, George and Johnson) is going to be good enough to eventually win a championship.

But AD doesn't really follow the NBA like that, so he doesn't know.

Bottom line, dude doesn't truly love basketball, is injury prone and was not needed for the team to be competitive.
