Spida will be 30 start of next year, signed through 2028, which includes a PO. He will most likely opt out in pursuit of *checks notes* a 5 yr./380 mil supermax with 10 years of service. Cavs have a decision to make soon anyway.

Typically I preach patience in these situations but Cavs might just need to move on from this iteration after the season if they don't yield a positive result cause its only so long Mobley even gonna want to be in a rebuilding situation like that. If Mitchell was younger you could afford to stick with it but yeah it they might want to pull the plug on this shit sooner rather than later.

This shit is so egregious I actually believe Fischer was told this. But more so on Giannis behalf than anything else. He gotta start making Milwaukee front office and ownership look crazy to pull his exit off and come out clean.

Thats the thing.....he doesnt even have to do all of that. Its one of the rare situations where someone of his profile can ask out and everyone would understand but it's like he doesnt even understand that

He's the one making this way harder than it has to be


If he hasn't asked out than the front office did has to continue to do their due diligence to try to improve the team with the resources they have

Eh. People that aren't casuals will understand. Everyone else will make him the villain for wanting out until he wins another chip elsewhere so I understand why he might be doing the preemptive damage control

If anything he has to damage control for putting his foot in his mouth because he was the one talking about not running and "doing things the right way"
