Rodgers posted to bring Matthews back though. That's after his speech he gave about his grievances. That's what I was saying earlier. The problem isn't the front office... it's Rodgers trying to influence the front office, but bringing bad ideas.
He was let go because he had 5, 7.5, and 3.5 sacks in his last 3 seasons with GB. They let him go, and picked up Smith (who put up 13.5 and 12.5 sacks in his 2 GB seasons) in the same offseason. That's a helluva job by the front office. But what do they get for it? People saying GB has no talent, and Rodgers criticizing the decision.
My main point is I'm not convinced the organization is in the wrong here. I think it's Rodgers trying to overstep into other people's areas, when he's not good in those areas. Then he comes out bitchin.
I think he overstated how much people want to play with him too. Acting like he's the key to FA's... I'm not convinced.
