“It should be noted many major record labels have deprioritized signing Rappers”. - Ebro

This gradual divestment been apparent ... he's only allowed to engage in that same narrow range of nonsense he's critiquing in the first place

The way these topics gets externally framed on our behalf is wild n problematic .... people are getting encouraged to think were actually losing something

Then theres a whole nother dimension of the true purpose of commercial media, and what these shifts in priority intend to help manage... a topic which defo won't be allowed into the domain of public discourse

These days, the most refreshing sounding music I hear comes from SoundCloud anyway.

Labels ain't create hip hip music or hop hop culture. They just been the ones getting fattest off of it and robbing artists in the process. So fuck'em really. Black culture endures regardless.

There will always be dope indie artists...

Rappers dont need big labels either, do people even listen to radio???

And TBH wouldnt it be better for hip hop to take a step back from the mainstream and get rid of some hypebeasts???

What I miss is good commercial 90s/00s type R&B, closest thing is Neo Soul...
