Globally Renowned Producer & Coach Dean Malenko Joins AEW

— AEW Signs Malenko to Multi-Year Deal as Senior Producer / Coach —

Las Vegas, NV (May 24, 2019) – AEW today announced a multi-year deal with world-renowned coach, producer and wrestler Dean Malenko. Effective immediately, the former No. 1-ranked wrestler in the PWI (Pro Wrestling Illustrated) 500 will take on the role as Senior Producer / Coach.

Malenko, who spent the past 18 years producing and coaching some of the biggest starts in wrestling, is a second-generation wrestler trained by his father, the acclaimed Boris Malenko. Malenko’s impact will be immediate as he joins AEW this weekend at DOUBLE OR NOTHING, the highly-anticipated event on Saturday, May 25, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

“Dean Malenko has been a massive force behind some of today’s biggest wrestling stars,” said Cody Rhodes, EVP of AEW. “He’s never stopped being a major talent who was part of the ECW revolution as well as a fixture in the cruiserweight movement on Nitro. He’s kept an open mind to our world from Lucha Libre to Japanese pro-wrestling. He’s the perfect fit for our sports- centric mentality, and his experience will be invaluable for our team. All Elite Wrestling AEW is a new professional wrestling promotion headlined by members of The Elite (The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody and Brandi Rhodes, and Hangman Page) and Chris Jericho. For the first time in many years, AEW is offering an alternative to mainstream wrestling, with a growing roster of world-class male and female wrestlers who are poised to bring new spirit, freshness and energy to the industry. The inaugural event under the AEW banner is DOUBLE OR NOTHING on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, followed by FYTER FEST on June 29 in Daytona Beach, followed by FIGHT FOR THE FALLEN on July 13 in Jacksonville. Yeah he threw shots at Bailey at a interview earlier or yesterday
He said the chick your talking about is actually who she is and not (without saying her name) playing a fake version with blow up people.

I seen that earlier. Thats why his wife was jokingly telling him to stop cause he aint get the reaction online he thought he would. Twitter was talking shit. People love Bayley.

I for one think her gimmick is wack and this chick is basically the same thing

Yea bailey is mad corny, i think if sasha stuck around they woulda gave the belt to her instead
 
Yeah Bailey is the worst character wise bruh I always said when shit went down hill they should of had her go goth and heel. Would of been a good counter to her goody 2 shoes character.
 
Bayley sells. Basically the female John Cena. It worked in nxt but I knew she’d have problems once she got on the main roster

She always got the kids but its just bad on TV when she comes out and its like crickets with moans, not even the kids save it. Almost awkward how Bailey gets weirder reactions then somebody like Dana.
 
They lame for having certain superstars that they'll never turn.

I mean I got god kids who are young and from what I can see they don't stop being fans of somebody just cause they've gone heel. One of thems a big Nakamura fan and even tho hes not a face anymore he still rocking w/ him
 
Bayley was always popular, even on the main roster. but when the character has no direction and is stuck in limbo, the crowd’s enthusiasm will die down. especially after she was booked to look like a complete fucking idiot (see her extreme rules match with alexa years ago)

becky used to get lukewarm reactions too when the company wasn’t doing anything with her. that all changed last summer, but it wasn’t like fans never fucked with her
 
Tonight is the night!!! Firs time dropped 40 on a fucking ppv but just got back from vacay and not doing shit else the whole summer so fuck it
