I also don't listen to music with cursing or suggestive sexual language in front of her

I think there is a difference and I think we should change the saying. I am affectionate to my wife. That doesn't mean open mouth kissing in public but other things that are not disturbing to others. But at the same time I have done things in public with women that had nothing to do with affection but was definitely disturbing to me know that I think about it.
