Ya'll gotta stop. Gambit's my guy. I gotta root for him even if he is looking like Larry Holmes, flabby and sick. At least he ain't gonna spend the whole movie simpin over Rogue.

Does anyone know if Shang Chi used the 10 rings in the comics? i read he didnt have "powers" but he was a master of chi and the best hand to hand fighter in the comics and trained Iron Fist and Spiderman for a period of time. I dont recall him ever having the 10 rings until his movie came out. It makes perfect sense for him to have them in the movies though especially with the enemies hes up against already. Im just curious if they were present for him in the comics as well.

Nope. The Mandarin had the 10 rings, but he wasn't Shang Chi's father. They basically merged the Mandarin and Fu Manchu (Shang Chi's father in the comics) into one character. They did it because a) they wanted redeem the Mandarin after the IM3 fiasco and b) because Fu Manchu sounds like some racist ish. I think it was a good idea.

Also, the 10 rings are way more interesting in the comics. Each of them give a different specific ability and the 10 of them together made the Mandarin pretty powerful.
