Well I'm pretty sure he's fulfilling all his contractual obligations for movies he already signed up for, because he's supposed to be taking a break from Hollywood because he has a genetic predisposition to Alzheimer's. Probably shooting movies as much as he can before he leaves.

He acted in one of them. Him and his writing partner did write the new Halloween trilogy though. The new ones with Jaime Lee Curtis. Hes primarily a comedy actor/writer though. Eastbound and Down, Vice Principals, THe Righteous Gemstones, etc.

Yeah hes got a few roles in some random ass Drama's and horror films. He wrote the story for the newest Exorcist film too from 2023. Really broadening his horizons in recent years. Im hoping him and Jody Hill have something new cooking up for comedy though whether thats a show or a movie.
