Spend That (Wicked A** Song or Is That Your Jam?)

This just means the song is a certified hit. Attention is currency in this age.

This was definitely her team after seeing it trending on social media.

I think there are black people that are hyper aware and understanding. Mainly because they have mindfully existed as black people as they have strived for their goals and feelings of accomplishment. They see the walls, the ceilings, and manipulation.

They see that a lot of struggles are real challenges and a lot of struggle is this
IMG_0743.jpeg

What they are trying to say is stand up. And the same people that sit and cry, stop crying long enough to ask why do you wanna be a stand up nigga?

The black people that know this, need to just leave these people to themselves. Fractured isn’t whole. But living with cancer is just as unhealthy.

These people are a cancer, they are not with us and they are not like us. We want more, they don’t, it’s as simple as that.

People need to just start being the change as much as we can and stop frantically being on the side of things where we are advocating so hard for the poor and down trodden.

There’s too much ways out here to get some money. And too much of the shit people are spending money on is outside budget and becomes worthless the same year they buy it. Fuck em man. We ain’t tired of repeating this pattern?

It was Delores Tucker when I was a kid. I didn’t know better. If this pattern goes back as far as that and farther. At some point those that know better,..just gotta say fuck it, and advocate what’s important to us…and not US

Lol India Arie just came on in the back yard while we sitting here chilling ...
It was her song Video... Like her first big single .... She been on this hater shit since she came out .. Listening to her lyrics and thinking about this shit today is just a funny perspective.... She's felt this way 25 years ago and going forward.... She was just nice about it back then and made a cool song about it...

Now she older and just don't give a fuck...

To all the niggas who car service engine light is on and that rock to that song in this hot ass weather wearing shades , (no shade, do you) but is this some healthy shit for our society to be bumping?

What are you all thoughts on the song? Indie Arie made mention about the song

I myself think the song should be taken off the radio, along with many others but the focus is on this song.

2nd part question

Should this country be more strict and more against negative things?

Sitting in the barbershop talking to the old heads, they made mention about homosexuality being displayed on TV, how they can't watch a show, and they went to the realms of saying how it wasn't any shows or anything as such on TV, radio back in their day displaying any of this type of act. This isn't necessary an strike on the folks on here who are a part of that community, just an observation

I tried watching 4 Seasons on Netflix, that corny ass show, and it's like these folks (white folks, executives of these shows) are trying to usher in the wickedness of the Devil onto these platforms (imo)
whether it comes to our food, being poisoned, clothes being poisoned, etc.

Thoughts.

There's definitely an agenda at play.

50-something niggas like me shouldn't have to cover their eyes and worry about shit like this.

Animal Kingdom used to do that shit all the time in the last few seasons.

Ghost Book II used to do it too.

No kinda build-up or warning about it at all.

Just a regular scene that switches to another scene showing some dude's cheeks getting split.

*nh*

We need a Rev Calvin Butts or C Delores Tucker to stand up against this kind of programming.

Yeah, that shit threw me completely off with Mr Robot. Still haven't watched the rest of that show either.

lol People just be putting anything. Half them songs have nothing to do with the things people don't like about the Spend That song, and the other half of them absolutely did have people criticizing them.

Also, the thing that some of these people keep ignoring is that it's not so much this one song is so bad. The problem, I think, is that it's all that's promoted these days. Back when those other songs came out, there was more balance in messaging. That's the key.

It's just a lot of people missing the point. India Irie doesn't give a shit about spend that or Yung Miami she just recognized a pattern watching how its being promoted, going viral, seeing people's reaction to it, came to a conclusion and spoke on it.

If you're saying "these 1000 songs are worst than spend that, where was the outrage?" then you're completely missing the point of what she and other people are saying. 😂🤦🏿

The point is...

Why aren't we drawing a line?
You should draw a line if you choose to
But this is a macro issue like the man said it feels like only this type of shit is being promoted
Then the issue should be to get at the ppl or entities promoting no? Or get at them to bring back the balance that made this type of shit acceptable

Yes and Yes, but you get at the creator. She knows this isn't a positive song, her team should have told her this. Father, Mother, etc.

She deserves all of the backlash imo.

Whoever makes this kind of filth deserves it. Stop putting out shit like this. It's time to kill this type of narrative that's being placed out here for us to consume.

I see you haven't been reading my posts lol. Cause I've said what you're saying several times.

Multiple things need to happen tho. We need to be real with ourselves about what those entities are doing and that starts with the artist and the listener. The artists need to be better, the listener needs to wake up, and the entity needs to be deaded.

Just saw people on Facebook talking about this shit....

It amazes me how worked up people get about little shit.

How is this any different from Lil Kim them in the 90's? It's a fucking song... Shit is not that serious. No
Social engineering

“You nah mean? It's gettin' ready to go down
Funkmaster Flex, Tunnel style, shout to Big Kap, Cipha Sounds

Keep a rugged dress code, always in distress mode
(That shit gon' send you to your grave!) So?

Nigga hold that! (Blaow!) Nigga hold that!
From the street, cousin, you know the drill

It's flash that thang time (bang!), bang time
(Ante up!) Nigga, it's game time
Hand over the ring, kick over the chain
Gimme the fuckin' watch before I pop one in your brain
Stop playin' these childish games with me
Representin' 1-718 dangerously, nigga
Yap that fool!
(Ante up!) Kidnap that fool!
It's the perfect timing, you see the man shinin'
Get up off them goddamn diamonds!
(Ante up!) Yap that fool!
(Ante up!) Kidnap that fool!
Get him, get him, get him, get him! Hit him, hit him, hit him, hit him
And then yap him! Yap him! Zap him!
I'm a street regulator, true player hater
Get back down, make yo' ass a MAC sprayer hater
Things that we need; money, clothes, weed
Indeed, hot food, booze, essentials, credentials
Code of the streets, owners who creep
Slow when you sleep, holdin' the heat
Put holes in your Jeep, respect the streets
It's the L-I-L F-A-M-E
Yeah, nigga Danze, gave you a chance
'Cause I blasted yo' man, I'm in the wrong?
He said he was strong, I had reason to
Believe he had some shit up his sleeve all along (so?)
Fuck you, Your Honor! Check my persona
I'm strung out off of Old Gold and marijuana
I'ma do what I wanna, quiet as kept (raise hell!)
'Til I'm expired and stretched, yes Lord
Yap that fool!
(Ante up!) Kidnap that fool!
It's the perfect timing, you see the man shinin'
Go and get them goddamn diamonds!
(Ante up!) Yap that fool!
(Ante up!) Kidnap that fool!
Get him, get him, get him! Hit him, hit him, hit him
Yap him! Zap him! Yap him! Yap him!
